About
Back in 2018, I had never touched a flower professionally—I was deep in the world of fashion design and production. Then Rachel Cho took a chance on me, bringing me into her floral studio in Chelsea, NYC. I was juggling floral work while freelancing on film sets, figuring out where I fit in the creative world. That’s when I met Rachel from Bride & Blossom, and suddenly, I was managing wedding installs every weekend, learning the fast-paced, high-stakes world of event florals. I had no idea what I was doing at first, but she trusted me, and I ran with it. We were booked and busy every weekend.
Then, life threw a curveball—the pandemic hit, and everything slowed down. I got pregnant, had my daughter in 2021, and moved from NYC to Orange County. Suddenly, I was a stay-at-home mom, completely removed from the world I knew. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever go back to flowers.
But flowers have a way of pulling you back in. In 2023, after moving back east, I decided it was time—I opened Rookery Flowers, a shop built on my love for community, storytelling, and sourcing the most incredible blooms from all over the world.
For me, flowers aren’t just pretty—they’re powerful. They tell stories, create connections, and make people feel something. My approach pushes past the traditional into something more architectural, and more intentional. Every petal is placed with love, every arrangement is a little piece of art. And at the end of the day, it all comes back to community—that’s what fuels everything I do.
